  • Page Header - New Page Follows Home Page - New Google Sites When you add a new page to New Google Sites its page header will automatically take the same background image as the home page. This removes the need to have to change and upload the correct background image if you want consistency across pages. This feature does not stop you from using different header background images on different pages it just sets the initial background image the same as the home page. New pages take the whole Header Type setting for the homepage so if you have specified the Title only header type for the home page new pages will follow this too.

  • Google Mail, Drive + Photos Unified Storage Google have announced an important change in the way your storage quotas split between Google Mail, Google Drive and Google+ Photos.  Google no longer count the storage quotas separately and now combine all the storage into one large block shared between all three services. What does unified storage mean for you? This change means that Google gives you one storage quota and count all your emails and attachments in Gmail, uploaded documents and files in Google Drive and full-resolution photos uploaded to Google+ in one lump sum.  This gives great flexibility with your storage: if you need more storage in Google Drive you now have it as it will use the large, single pot of storage rather than restrict ...

There is a lot of commentary on the web at the moment suggesting that our  beloved Google is presently developing a smartphone android-based watch via their acquisition of Motorola Mobile.  (In fact this comes from a reputable source as it is reported in the Financial Times). This joins the rumours that Apple Samsung and a host of other companies like Jawbone will be releasing their devices this year. As it is coming from the Motorola division it is likely that the release is imminent unlike the more far out devices produced directly with in Google X lab. Google’s watch could be with us Q3 summer.Of course for us this means yet more consideration of presentation of websites ...

By the looks of things I seemed to have managed to make it a framed forwarder and it passes the URLs through, i.e. www.steegle.com/news works. There's always a downside however: you can't bookmark pages as it always shows the framed address, which doesn't get updated, so if you arrive at the site by going to www.steegle.com/news then that's the address you'll always see.
