Gmail now accepts accented and non-Latin characters

Earlier this week Google announced on its official blog that Gmail will now accept email addresses with accented and non-Latin characters (e.g. Chinese or Japanese characters).

Hopefully, other email providers will follow, breaking down international barriers even further for a more connected world.
