  • Copy Site

You can now copy Google Sites and this feature can be used in various ways:

  • Percentage Widths for Third-Party Gadgets

This means you can now make your gadgets flow with browser width to give a fluid, proportional layout.
  • Improved Recent Announcement's Gadget

You can have longer snippets (about 6 lines long), or the whole post, or with a thumbnail of the first image.  Yo can also now add a description that appears on above the posts - for and example see News Snippets.

  • New Search Options

You can now make the site search search all sites accross your Google Apps domain, or use a Google Custom Search Engine to search across various websites, or (if you've really splashed the cash) a Google Search Appliance.
  • Various bug fixes

Hopefully that troublesome sidebar issue is gone forever!  For a longer list see: New Release today August 27, 2009.
