Google Sites has again been updated to give more new features:

New Features

  • Making an Image a Link

Google have just made it even easier to make an image a link and remove the default link applied to the image.  I have updated my article - Google Sites - Making an Image a Link - to show the new way to do it by just using the Google Sites tools.

  • HTML Page Title Tag <title> Formatting

The format of the HTML <title></title> tag (the title displayed by your web browser, in your bookmarks/favourites and displayed in search engine results now follows the format below:

    Page Title - Site Title
  • New Default favicon.ico

Google Sites now provides an orange favicon (the icon displayed by your browser and in bookmarks, favourites and shortcuts - ).

If you do not like this favicon you can Add a Custom Favicon
  • More bugs fixed!

Again some bugs have been fixed e.g. some sites were not displaying the full footer making it more difficult to sign in.
