Google have been shopping again…Google buys Nest Labs for $3.2bn

Nest's "learning" thermostats are apparently used by many Google employees and Larry Page is a fan!

    The BBC has reported that the "Chocolate Factory" Google has announced plans to buy thermostat maker Nest Labs for $3.2bn  continuing a string of recent acquisitions, it is expected that the deal will complete by April.

    Why should you care?

    This means that the chocolate factory is continuing its march out of search to robotics and computer human interaction - changing our lives fundamentally just like Google has done to search, drive and smartphones.
