Google Sites now provides the ability to hide the Sign In, Recent Changes and Print Page links from your System Footer.  These instructions tell you how to use the new Customise System Footer Links feature.

Instructions

  1. Sign in to your site

  2. Use the More Actions button then Manage Site (or use the keyboard shortcut g then m)

  3. Go to Site Layout and scroll to the bottom of the page

  4. Use the Customise System Footer Links link

  5. Choose which links you wish to hide (you cannot hide the Terms, Report Abuse or Powered by Google Sites links)

  6. Use the OK button then the Save Changes button

  7. Use the More Actions button then Preview as viewer (or use the keyboard shortcut g then p) and you will see the changes when you look at the site as a viewer (when signed in as owner you always see the Recent Site Activity and Revision History links).

Other Options

If you chose to enable automatic mobile rendering for your site you will see an additional Hide Site as Desktop option to hide the Desktop link when mobile viewers visit the site.

Availability

You can get this feature now on stand-alone/consumer/personal Google Sites and Google Apps domains with the Rapid Release track enabled
