Page Header - New Page Follows Home Page - New Google Sites

When you add a new page to New Google Sites its page header will automatically take the same background image as the home page. This removes the need to have to change and upload the correct background image if you want consistency across pages. This feature does not stop you from using different header background images on different pages it just sets the initial background image the same as the home page.

New pages take the whole Header Type setting for the homepage so if you have specified the Title only header type for the home page new pages will follow this too.
