Add Buttons - Google Sites
Open the Insert panel
Use the Button option
Specify a Name for the button (the text that appears on the button)
Specify the Link of the button (the target) by starting to type the name of the page:
this will search the current site, your other sites and Google Drive for site pages or Google Drive items to link to;
alternatively enter the URL to a website (web address) you want the button to link to.
Move and size the button as required
Google Sites offers different Styles for buttons. Each button can use these styles:
You can set the individual colours for each button style, and different colours for different section styles, in Custom Themes.
You cannot control the text colour as Google Sites sets this automatically to black or white, whichever contasts best with the button colour.
You can choose to Align the buttons in four different ways:
Left - button width collapses to the text width and the button left aligns
Center - button width collapses to the text width and the button aligns centrally
Right - button width collapses to the text width and the button right aligns
Justified - button width will expand to vertically-grouped tiles and button text will center.
Button links to pages on the same site open in the same window/tab but links to external items (URLs, other sites pages and Drive items) will open in a new tab/window.
When a button is vertically grouped it inherits the width of the group, unless you specify an alignment
The button uses the accent colour for your site set in the Google-created themes or any colours you want for each style and section in Custom Themes.
