Highlight your important text with a background colour in Google Sites
Instructions
Highlight text with a background colour
Select the text you want to highlight and the formatting toolbar appears.
Use the three-dot (More) button to expand the extra formatting options.
Use the Highlight colour option (looks like a pencil with a coloures underline) and select the colour you want to set as the highlight background colour of your text.
The background colour of your text will change immediately and highlight your text.

Notes
To remove the colour from the text background go to the Highlight colour option and select the NONE option at the top of colour panel.
