Team Drive Sharing

How to see who can access a Google Site in a Team drive, and how to directly share a Site stored in Team drive.

Note: Team Drives are only available to Google Workspace Business and Enterprise customers.

Site Permissions shared by Team Drive

  1. Use the Add editors button (looks like a plus + with a person)

  2. The Team Drive sharing dialogue box opens (looks different to the normal Site sharing dialogue box see the comparison)

  3. Use the WHO HAS ACCESS link to show who the site is shared with

  4. If the Site is shared via a Team drive you will see the Team Drive permissions listed under the Team drive (in the example on the right Stephen Hind is given by Team Drive sharing)

  5. If the site is shared directly with users, in addition to the Team Drive permissions, you will see these listed separately (in the example on the right External Site Collaborators is shared directly from Google Sites).

Share a Google Site in a Team Drive

  1. Use the Add editors button (looks like a plus + with a person)

  2. The Team Drive sharing dialogue box opens (looks different to the normal Site sharing dialogue box, see the comparison)

  3. Use the ADD PEOPLE link to share with more users or groups by email address

  4. Use the SEND button to add the permissions
